This session will describe and demonstrate how to create a big data analytics solution with structured data by using HDInsight and Excel 2013. Theory describing the benefits and considerations when producing data models based on big data sources will also be covered.
The first demonstration will show how to create a big data solution by using HDInsight. The next demonstration will create a PowerPivot data model to integrate a big data query result with on-premise corporate data and OData feeds. The third demonstration will show how Power View can be used to analyze and report from the data model – delivering a fast, interactive and visually impressive approach to querying the cached big data in the PowerPivot data model.
